The system handles real-time stock synchronization across all locations, automated reorder alerts, and detailed sales analytics. Integrated with barcode scanners and receipt printers for seamless checkout experiences.
The Challenge
FreshMart Retail was struggling with siloed inventory data across 12 store locations, leading to frequent stock-outs, overordering, and manual reconciliation errors. Their legacy POS system offered no real-time visibility, making demand forecasting nearly impossible.
Each store manager maintained separate spreadsheets, resulting in data inconsistencies and delayed reporting. The business needed a unified platform that could handle high transaction volumes during peak hours without downtime.
Our Solution
We developed a cloud-hosted POS and inventory management platform using Laravel and Vue.js, with a centralized MySQL database replicated across regions. Each store received a lightweight touch-screen POS terminal syncing in real-time via WebSockets.
The system included automated reorder rules, supplier integration, and a role-based admin dashboard giving head-office staff full visibility. Redis caching ensured sub-second response times even during peak sale periods.
