A real-time fleet tracking and intelligent route optimisation system for LogiMove Transport's 200-vehicle fleet operating across Gujarat and Maharashtra. The platform provides live GPS tracking, automated dispatch, AI-driven route planning considering traffic and delivery windows, and driver performance monitoring.
The Challenge
LogiMove Transport was managing its 200-vehicle fleet using basic GPS trackers with no route optimisation or dispatch automation. Dispatchers manually assigned vehicles and routes each morning, a process taking 3-4 hours and resulting in suboptimal routes, fuel wastage, and missed delivery windows.
Customers had no real-time visibility into their shipment status, leading to high call volumes to the customer service team. Fuel costs were increasing steadily without any data-driven way to identify inefficient driver behaviors.
Our Solution
We developed a fleet management platform using Laravel and Vue.js, integrating with the existing GPS hardware via MQTT protocol for real-time location streaming. Google Maps API was extended with a custom Python-based route optimisation engine that factors in delivery time windows, vehicle capacity, and live traffic data to generate optimal routes.
An automated dispatch module assigns vehicles to delivery batches with one click. Driver scorecards track speeding, harsh braking, and idle time. A customer-facing shipment tracker provides live ETAs via SMS and a web link.
