Last-Mile Delivery Tracking & Dispatch Mobile App
A complete last-mile delivery management solution for DeliverFast India, including a dispatcher web portal and delivery agent mobile app. The system handles automated order assignment, optimized route delivery sequences, proof-of-delivery capture, real-time tracking for customers, and agent performance analytics.
The Challenge
DeliverFast India was managing 1,500+ daily deliveries across 3 cities using phone calls and WhatsApp to coordinate with 80 delivery agents. Dispatchers had no real-time visibility into agent locations or delivery progress. Failed deliveries were common as agents had no structured way to attempt re-delivery or collect digital proof of delivery.
Customers frequently called to check delivery status, creating significant overhead for the customer support team during peak hours.
Our Solution
We built a Flutter mobile app for delivery agents with offline-capable route lists, barcode/QR scanning for shipment pickup confirmation, photo-based proof of delivery (POD), and electronic signature capture. A Laravel-based dispatcher portal provides a live map view of all agents and deliveries, with AI-assisted order batching and assignment.
Firebase real-time database powers the live agent location tracking visible to dispatchers and customers. Customers receive automated SMS and WhatsApp notifications at each delivery milestone (out for delivery, delivered, failed attempt). A Twilio-masked calling feature lets agents call customers without revealing their personal number.
