Telemedicine & Online Consultation Platform
A HIPAA-aligned telemedicine platform enabling HealthFirst Clinics's 80+ doctors to conduct video consultations, share prescriptions, and manage patient records digitally. Patients book appointments via web or mobile app, consult via encrypted video call, and receive e-prescriptions directly to their phone.
The Challenge
HealthFirst Clinics was seeing a surge in demand for remote consultations, especially from patients in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. Their existing appointment system was phone-based, doctors had no way to conduct video calls within a secure, compliant environment, and patient records were fragmented across paper files and Excel sheets.
The platform needed to be simple enough for elderly patients to use on a basic smartphone while meeting stringent data privacy requirements for medical records.
Our Solution
We built a telemedicine platform using WebRTC (via Twilio) for encrypted peer-to-peer video calls, with a Laravel API backend and a Vue.js web portal. A Flutter mobile app was developed for both iOS and Android, optimized for low-bandwidth connections common in rural areas.
The system includes a smart appointment scheduler, digital prescription generation with QR code verification, and an electronic health record (EHR) module accessible only to treating physicians. All patient data is encrypted at rest and in transit.
