Omeecron EMS Manufacturing ERP
Cloud ERP for Indian electronics & EMS units — Noida, Bengaluru, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai. BOM with AML control, ECN versioning, reel-level lot traceability, IPC-A-610 quality records, serial number management, PLI scheme tracking, RoHS / REACH / WEEE compliance, and counterfeit-component protection. From ₹1,700/month.
Where the day-to-day really hurts
Real pain we’ve seen on Indian factory floors — and how the system fixes each one.
Customer audit: "show me the AML compliance for last 6 months of production." You scramble through purchase POs vs BOM lines. 70% match. Customer freezes new orders.
AML-locked procurement: every component PO traces to the AML whitelist by design. 100% match, on-demand audit report.
ECN raised by customer. BOM rev updated in someone's head. Production runs the old BOM for 2 days because nobody told the kitting team. 500 boards now scrap.
ECN workflow gates production: rev change locked, effective-date enforced, old rev sunset. Mixed-rev runs prevented at the system layer.
Field RMA on a board shipped 8 months ago. Customer wants to know which capacitor lot failed. You have no per-board component lot trail. RMA dies; ₹5L claim absorbed.
Serial → BOM rev → reel → component lot lookup in seconds. RMA defensible, lot recalled if needed.
PLI quarterly claim due. Production data scattered across Tally + Excel + shop-floor registers. CA takes 2 weeks to compile; claim filed late and short by ₹3 Cr.
PLI claim data prepared from production records continuously. Incremental production over base year, DVA calc, MeitY-format export. Filed on time, full claim.
PCBA jobwork customer ships components; SAC 9988 RCM treatment missed; ITC reversal wrong. GST notice arrives 14 months later for ₹40L.
Customer-supplied component register + SAC 9988 + auto-RCM + ITC reversal pre-configured. Job-work GST audit-ready.
Buyer goes off-AML for a Murata cap because lead-time is 18 weeks. Buys from grey-market. Counterfeit. 2000 boards fail at customer. ₹40L damages + reputation.
AML whitelist + dual-approval override required for off-AML PO. Long-lead-time alerts trigger 26 weeks ahead so off-AML panic-buys never happen.
Real ROI, with numbers we can defend
Production-line component compliance against the customer-approved Approved Manufacturers List. Audit-ready, on-demand.
Field-RMA serial-to-component-lot lookup. Failure traced to source reel in seconds.
Quarterly PLI claim filing — data prepared continuously, not last-minute scramble.
Zero ECN-after-the-fact production runs once BOM rev gating is enforced.
Built for this industry, not adapted from generic ERP
BOM with AML Control
Every component line has an Approved Manufacturers List — Murata cap, Kemet cap, both qualify. Operator picks from AML at kitting; substitution outside AML requires QA override with reason. End of "we used a no-name cap because it was cheaper" customer complaints.
ECN Workflow + BOM Rev
Engineering Change Notice raised → BOM rev incremented → customer approval gate → effective date → old rev sunset. Every board produced knows its BOM rev. Mixed-rev runs prevented. Customer audit shows clean rev history.
Reel-Level Lot Traceability
Component reel barcoded on GRN; consumed reels logged at kitting; assembled board records which reel each part came from. Recall a bad reel → instant list of every board that consumed it.
Counterfeit-Component AML Lock
Supplier whitelist per AML component. Procurement physically cannot raise a PO outside the whitelist without QA + management dual-override. Counterfeit-cap nightmare prevented at the data layer.
Serial Number Management
Board-level serial + final-product serial both tracked. Customer warranty lookup: serial → BOM rev → component lots → IPC class → ship date → customer. Field-failure RMA paper-trail closed in one screen.
PLI Claim Preparation
Production-Linked-Incentive scheme data prepared from production records — incremental production over base year, DVA (Domestic Value Addition) calculation, MeitY / DPIIT-format reports. Audit-ready claims, not last-minute scrambles.

The Counterfeit Cap Nightmare
Procurement physically cannot raise a PO outside the AML whitelist.
Counterfeit electronic components is the single most expensive failure mode in Indian EMS. A ₹3 capacitor swap from a grey-market supplier killed an entire customer relationship more than once in the last few years. The pain is so real that customers now write AML clauses into their contracts.
- Every BOM line has an AML — Approved Manufacturers List. Murata GRM21BR71H104KA01L OR Kemet C0805C104K5RACTU, both qualify. Customer-approved.
- Supplier whitelist per AML part — only specified suppliers (Arrow / Avnet / Future / your direct franchise distributor) can ship that component
- Procurement UI gates the PO: if a buyer tries to raise a PO for Murata cap from an unwhitelisted supplier, the system rejects it. Override requires QA-head + management dual-approval with reason captured.
- GRN re-validates the supplier vs the AML whitelist; mismatch → goods quarantined
- X-Y reel ID at kitting: assembled board records which reel each part came from. Recall a bad reel → instant list of every board that consumed it.
This is the workflow that turns "I trust my purchase head" into "the data says we only buy whitelisted parts from whitelisted suppliers." Customer audits go from anxiety to one-click reports.
Honest Cloud Boundaries
What runs in the browser vs what needs an on-site connector.
Starter and Growth plans are 100% cloud — open Chrome, do everything. Hardware integrations can work but need a small on-site connector (quoted separately, Enterprise scope):
- ✓ Cloud-only (Starter / Growth): BOM + AML · ECN workflow · Reel + MOQ tracking · Kitting job cards · IPC-A-610 inspection forms (entered on tablet) · Manual AOI / ICT / FCT result entry · Serial number management · PLI claim prep · RoHS / REACH / WEEE storage · GST + EWB · Customer + supplier ledgers · RMA workflow
- ⚙ Needs on-site connector (Enterprise add-on): Auto-read from SMT line controllers (Siemens / ASM / Yamaha pick-and-place) for kitting confirmation · Direct AOI / ICT / FCT result import from tester PCs · Component-reel barcode auto-scan at kitting station · MES-level real-time line telemetry
We don't claim cloud-magic over SMT lines. If you want hands-free reel-scan or auto-import of test logs, we install a small Windows agent at the line that talks to your tester PC or scanner and pushes data to the cloud. Quoted per line. Manual entry works fine on Starter / Growth — most Indian EMS units start there.
On the roadmap · Rolling out through 2026
AI assists on the roadmap for your EMS floor.
AI assists are rolling out on the Omeecron platform through 2026 — included on the Growth plan when they ship, no extra cost. Here's exactly where AI will help in your factory's daily flow:
- 📄 Document AI (OCR + auto-fill): Component supplier COA PDFs → AML validation at GRN; customer ECN documents → BOM rev update drafted, ready for QA-head approval gate.
- 👁 Quiet Watchdog (anomaly detection): Off-AML PO attempts, ECN-after-production-already-started events, and reject-rate spikes per BOM rev — flagged before the customer audit lands.
- 💬 Ask Your ERP (vertical chatbot): "Which boards used cell lot ABC?" · "PLI claim status by quarter" — typed answer with the serial trail, no manual cross-reference.
These are planned features, not live today. We're building them in the open and Growth-plan customers get them free as they ship. Want early-access? WhatsApp us.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers about Indian EMS, PCBA & Electronics Contract Manufacturers.
Every BOM line carries an AML — usually 2-4 approved manufacturer part numbers per generic component. Procurement physically cannot raise a PO for that component from a supplier outside the whitelist without dual-approval override.
- BOM line: 0.1uF 0805 X7R cap, 50V, ±10%
- AML: Murata GRM21BR71H104KA01L (preferred), Kemet C0805C104K5RACTU (alternate), TDK C2012X7R1H104K125AA (alternate)
- Supplier whitelist: Arrow, Avnet, Future, your authorised franchise distributor
- Procurement UI: typing a non-AML part number throws a hard block; typing an AML part from non-whitelisted supplier triggers QA-head + management dual-approval workflow with reason
- GRN gate: re-validates received lot against whitelist; mismatch quarantined
Yes — both flows are first-class. Customer ECN goes through a customer-approval gate; internal ECN goes through internal QA + production gates.
- ECN raised: by anyone (customer email upload, internal engineer, supplier-driven obsolescence)
- Impact analysis: where-used report shows affected BOMs, in-flight production, and stock-at-hand
- Approval gate: customer ECN routes to customer signature (email or portal); internal ECN routes to QA + production heads
- Rev increment: approved ECN auto-creates BOM rev N+1 with effective-date
- Production gating: on effective-date, new POs and new production runs use rev N+1; old rev sunset for new work but stays referenceable for warranty
- Audit trail: every rev change shows who approved, when, why, and the diff vs previous rev
On Starter / Growth: reel IDs entered manually at GRN and at kitting. On Enterprise: a small Windows agent reads barcode-scanner USB output and pushes reel IDs automatically.
- GRN: each incoming reel gets a system-generated reel ID printed on a label (Avery sticker on the reel)
- Kitting: kitter scans (or types) reel ID at issue — system records which job card consumed which reel
- Production board record: the assembled-board record knows BOM rev + every reel consumed
- RMA lookup: serial → BOM rev → reel IDs → component lots → suppliers, all in seconds
- Reel balance: running per-reel balance shows how many components remain on each reel; partial-reel rollover handled automatically
Yes — both pricing models + workflows are first-class.
- PCBA jobwork: customer ships components against a kit-list; you assemble and ship back boards. SAC 9988 (job-work on customer's goods) applied; auto-RCM + ITC reversal handled. Component register stays separate from your own stock.
- Turnkey: you procure components + assemble + ship complete boards. Box-build adds enclosure + cabling + final test + product packaging. GST applied to the finished-product HSN, not jobwork SAC.
- Mixed customers (some PCBA jobwork + some turnkey) handled per-customer per-PO
- Pricing engine: jobwork = labour + overhead + margin; turnkey = component cost + labour + overhead + margin + financing-cost (your money tied in components for the lead-time)
Production data feeds the PLI claim continuously, not as a last-minute compile. Incremental production over base year + DVA (Domestic Value Addition) percentage + MeitY / DPIIT-format export ready for quarterly filing.
- Base-year production set at scheme enrolment; system tracks incremental delta per quarter
- DVA calc: domestic component cost / total component cost — auto-rolled from BOM costing, supplier country-of-origin per component
- MeitY / DPIIT report format: claim data exported in the format the scheme requires
- Independent verification: the auditor your scheme requires sees clean data, not Excel guesses
- Disbursement tracking: claim filed → acknowledgement → in-principle approval → final disbursement, status tracked end-to-end
Yes — compliance documents are stored per BOM line and rolled up per product. Customer audit asks "show me the RoHS declaration for board X" → instant retrieval.
- Per-component: RoHS 6+4 declaration, REACH SVHC declaration, conflict-minerals (CMRT) report uploaded from supplier
- BOM roll-up: if any component is non-compliant, the BOM is non-compliant — flagged before production
- Customer-facing declaration: auto-generated per BOM rev as a PDF
- WEEE compliance: producer registrations tracked; PRO (Producer Responsibility Organisation) certificates stored
- Re-certification calendar: declarations expire — reminders 90 days before expiry per component
Customer ships back a failed board with its serial number. One click → full trail. BOM rev, every reel consumed at assembly, every test result captured, customer ship date, IPC class.
- Serial entry: RMA register captures customer + serial + failure description
- Auto-lookup: serial → board record → BOM rev → reel IDs → component lots → suppliers
- Root-cause flagging: if multiple RMAs trace to the same reel, the system flags it; reel recalled, supplier notified, customer alerted
- RMA disposition: repair (with same reel sub-recalled) / replace / credit-note
- Field-failure analytics: failure rate per supplier per component per month — informs AML pruning
Yes — multi-GSTIN is on Growth and Enterprise. SEZ unit + DTA clearance + customs-bond inventory is supported.
- Each GSTIN keeps its own ledgers, banks, invoice series
- SEZ inventory tracked separately from DTA inventory
- DTA clearance workflow with NCV (Notional Customs Value) calc
- Customs bond — duty-free imported components tracked with bond closure (export-against-bond or duty-payment-and-DTA-clear)
- SEZ → DTA transfer with E-Way Bill
- RoDTEP + duty drawback claim prep for export shipments
14–21 working days for a 40-person, 3-SMT-line EMS unit. The variable is the BOM-master migration — depends on how clean your existing BOM library is.
- Day 1–5: BOM library migration + AML setup per customer (the heaviest piece — typically 50-200 BOMs)
- Day 6–7: Customer + supplier + component master cleanup
- Day 8–9: ECN workflow + customer-approval-gate configuration per customer
- Day 10–11: Production team training on kitting workflow + reel-ID entry
- Day 12–13: QA team training on IPC-A-610 digital inspection forms
- Day 14–18: First parallel production run validated
- Day 19–21: Cutover with reconciled ledgers
Pricing starts at ₹1,700/month for the Starter plan, with a flat 20% discount when you pay annually.
- Starter — ₹1,700/month or ₹16,320/year: BOM + AML, ECN workflow, reel + MOQ tracking, kitting, IPC-A-610 manual forms, manual AOI / ICT result entry, serial-number management, GST + EWB
- Growth — ₹3,500/month or ₹33,600/year: + multi-GSTIN, PLI claim prep, DVA calc, RoHS / REACH / WEEE document management, SEZ + customs-bond workflow, priority support
- Enterprise — Custom quote: + multi-unit, dedicated manager, on-site SMT-line connector, direct AOI / ICT / FCT log import, reel-scanner integration, SLA-backed uptime
Starter and Growth are 100% cloud — no agents required. SMT-line / tester-PC connectors are Enterprise-tier add-ons, quoted per line.
Yes — every plan includes ongoing support, free upgrades, and statutory advisory updates (PLI scheme amendments, MeitY / DPIIT notifications, IPC-A-610 revision updates, RoHS / REACH / WEEE rule changes).
- All plans: Email + WhatsApp support, Mon–Sat 9 AM – 7 PM IST
- Growth: + Priority phone support, free quarterly upgrades, free Gujarat on-site, PLI / IPC / compliance advisory updates
- Enterprise: + Dedicated implementation manager, SLA-backed uptime, on-site across India (Noida / Bengaluru / Pune / Hyderabad / Chennai), on-site connector maintenance included
Glossary — terms used on this page
- BOM
- Bill of Materials — the full list of components required to assemble a product. In EMS, the BOM is the contract: every line specifies part number, AML, quantity, and reference designator on the board.
- AML
- Approved Manufacturers List — the customer-approved set of manufacturer part numbers acceptable for each generic component on the BOM. E.g. for 0.1uF 0805 caps, AML might allow Murata + Kemet + TDK specific part numbers.
- ECN
- Engineering Change Notice — formal document requesting a change to a BOM, drawing, or process. ECN triggers a rev increment and a customer-approval gate before the change goes live in production.
- PCBA
- Printed Circuit Board Assembly — the populated PCB with components soldered on. EMS units do either "PCBA only" (deliver assembled boards) or "box-build" (PCBA + enclosure + cabling + final product).
- IPC-A-610
- IPC standard defining acceptance criteria for electronic assemblies. Class 1 (general electronics), Class 2 (dedicated service electronics), Class 3 (high-performance / life-critical). Customers specify class per product.
- PLI
- Production-Linked-Incentive — Government of India scheme paying 4-6% cashback on incremental sales for qualifying electronics segments (smartphones, IT hardware, telecom, LED, AC). MeitY / DPIIT administered with DVA thresholds.
