Omeecron Footwear & Leather Manufacturing ERP
Built for Indian footwear & leather manufacturers — Agra, Kanpur, Chennai, Delhi clusters. Size-curve SKU explosion handled natively, karigar outsourcing tracked across cutting / uppers / soles / finishing, leather lot-pairing rules, export drawback + RoDTEP claims, BIS + Chrome VI compliance. From ₹1,700/month.
Where the day-to-day really hurts
Real pain we’ve seen on Indian factory floors — and how the system fixes each one.
Buyer orders "Design A, full size curve, 2 widths, 3 colours". Your team spends 2 days creating 84 SKUs in Tally. Daily production plan takes 2 more days.
Define design once with base BOM. System auto-generates the SKU matrix, per-size leather consumption, and daily production plan in seconds.
Karigar outsourcing tracked on Tally + WhatsApp. "Bhai, batch kahan hai?" calls every day. Disputed bills at month-end. Leather walks out the gate unaccounted.
QR-tagged lot dispatch + receipt scan. Per-leg karigar bills auto-generated. Reject chargebacks with photo evidence.
Leather grain + colour varies lot-to-lot. Customer opens box: left shoe slightly darker than right. Return. Refund. Reputation hit.
Leather lot-pairing rules enforce "both shoes in a pair from the same lot." Mismatched pairs flagged at QC before they ship.
RoDTEP + duty drawback claims should be 4-7% of FOB value back to you. Most exporters under-claim by 30% because BOM costing is sloppy.
Per-BOM material costing roll-up feeds the claim. RoDTEP rates auto-applied per HSN. Shipping bills + e-BRC reconciled. Recover the full claim.
EU buyer asks for Chrome VI test certificate per shipment. You produce one from 2023 and hope they accept it.
Chrome VI < 3 ppm certificates uploaded against each leather lot. Dispatch auto-attaches the right cert. Shipment-level audit-trail.
AW26 collection + SS27 collection + your basic-line all running on the same production capacity. Nobody knows what's on time for which collection until it's too late.
Collection / season tagging on every SKU. Capacity allocated by collection. Daily collection-wise on-time status visible to merch + production heads.
Real ROI, with numbers we can defend
Time from buyer-order receipt to production-ready SKU matrix + BOM + daily plan.
Average RoDTEP + duty drawback recovery vs sloppy-BOM baseline (per-design material costing surfaces what was previously under-claimed).
Zero customer returns for mismatched-pair leather variation after lot-pairing rules kick in.
Drop in disputed karigar bills after switching to QR-tagged lot tracking + auto bill generation.
Built for this industry, not adapted from generic ERP
Size-Curve SKU Explosion
Define a design once; size × width × colour permutations auto-generate. Buyer asks for "this design, full size curve 4-10, 2 widths, 3 colours" → the system creates the SKU matrix, the BOM, the cost roll-up, and the production plan in seconds.
Karigar Outsourcing Tracking
Send cut uppers to Mr. Ahmed's sewing shop; stitched uppers come back; soles go to Rampal's lasting shop; finishing at the in-house bench. Each leg tracked with QR-tagged lots. End of "where is my batch?" calls.
Leather Lot-Pairing Rules
Leather varies lot-to-lot — grain, dye take-up, thickness. The system enforces "shoes in one pair from the same lot" rules so customers don't open boxes to find mismatched pairs.
Export Drawback + RoDTEP
Per-BOM material costing feeds duty drawback claims. RoDTEP rates auto-applied per HSN. Shipping bills + e-BRC reconciliation. DGFT scheme licences tracked.
BIS + Chrome VI Compliance
BIS IS 6721 (safety footwear), IS 14544 (leather chrome content), MRP labelling per Legal Metrology Act, Chrome VI < 3 ppm certification for EU/US export — all tracked at the BOM and dispatch level.
Collection + Season Planning
Plan AW26 vs SS27 collections separately from your "basic line" that runs all year. Production capacity allocated by collection. Seasonal sell-through analytics inform next year's curve.

The Footwear-Specific Bit
84 SKUs from one design — handled in seconds, not days.
The single biggest reason generic ERPs fail in footwear: a buyer orders "5,000 pairs of Design A in full size curve 4–10, two widths (D + EE), three colours (tan / black / cherry)" and your team spends two days creating 84 SKUs by hand in Tally, then another two days breaking it down to a daily production plan.
- Define Design A once with its base BOM (one leather, one sole, one set of accessories)
- System auto-explodes the size × width × colour permutations into 84 SKU records
- Per-size leather consumption auto-calculated from the size curve (size 4 uses less leather than size 10 — proper roll-up, not flat average)
- Size-curve allocation across multiple buyers — if 3 customers ordered different size curves of the same design, the system optimises the cutting plan across all 3
- Daily production targets auto-generated by size and shift
This is the workflow that makes "we can take this order" possible without scaring your production planner. One design defined properly = the whole catalogue runs at 4× the speed.
The Outsourcing Reality
5 karigars, 4 process steps, 1 batch — fully tracked.
The Indian footwear factory model isn't one-roof. It's typically: cutting in-house, upper-stitching at Mr. Ahmed's shop in Agra Mantola, lasting at Rampal's unit in Hing Ki Mandi, finishing at your own bench. Tally + WhatsApp groups is how everyone does it today, and it breaks every audit, every order trace-back, every chargeback dispute.
- Karigar master: each external unit registered with GSTIN, rate card per leg, weekly capacity
- QR-tagged lot dispatch: bundle of cut uppers leaves your factory with a printed QR challan tagged to that karigar
- Receipt scan: when the karigar returns the stitched uppers, your gate-keeper scans the QR; system marks "received from Ahmed", auto-tallies the per-leg bill
- Reject tracking: bad stitching found at QC? Charged back to that karigar with photo evidence + per-piece cost
- Karigar quality scoring: ranked by on-time delivery, reject %, and cost. Next order routes to the best performer automatically
- Weekly karigar bill: auto-generated. Karigar GSTINs treated as job-work (SAC 9988) with correct RCM where applicable
End of "where is my batch?" phone calls. End of disputed karigar bills. End of unaccounted leather walking out the gate.
On the roadmap · Rolling out through 2026
AI assists on the roadmap for your footwear factory.
AI assists are rolling out on the Omeecron platform through 2026 — included on the Growth plan when they ship, no extra cost. Here's exactly where AI will help in your factory's daily flow:
- 📄 Document AI (OCR + auto-fill): Buyer size-run PDFs and WhatsApp images → 84-SKU matrix + cutting plan auto-drafted, plus karigar dispatch slips → lot tracking with no manual rekey.
- 👁 Quiet Watchdog (anomaly detection): Per-karigar wastage trending high vs cluster, leather lot-pair mismatches at packing, and Chrome VI cert expiry — flagged before the buyer hears about it.
- 💬 Ask Your ERP (vertical chatbot): "Which karigar has highest reject rate?" · "Pending orders by buyer + delivery date" — typed answer, no Excel pivot through 84 SKUs.
These are planned features, not live today. We're building them in the open and Growth-plan customers get them free as they ship. Want early-access? WhatsApp us.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers about Indian Footwear, Leather Goods & Shoe Manufacturers.
Define the design once with its base BOM. The system explodes size × width × colour permutations into SKU records, with per-size leather consumption calculated from the size curve.
- Base design BOM defined for the median size (e.g. size 7, D width)
- Size-multiplier curve adjusts material consumption per size (size 4 uses ~88% of base leather, size 10 uses ~115%)
- Width-multiplier curve for D / E / EE / EEE
- Colour-multiplier is usually 1.0 (no extra leather) but tracks dye / finish cost diff
- Result: 84 SKUs with accurate per-SKU material cost in seconds
Yes — the trader-exporter model is a primary use case. Manage 5, 10, 20 karigar units with per-leg rate cards, per-karigar quality scores, and weekly auto-billing.
- Each karigar registered as a vendor with GSTIN, rate card per leg, weekly capacity
- Per-leg rate card: cutting ₹X/pair, upper-stitching ₹Y/pair, lasting ₹Z/pair, finishing ₹W/pair
- Karigar capacity-aware allocation when sending new lots
- Quality score (on-time %, reject %, cost variance) ranks karigars
- Best-performing karigar gets next lot automatically (configurable)
- Weekly karigar bill auto-generated; karigar e-signs via WhatsApp link
The system enforces "both shoes in a pair must come from the same leather lot" as a hard rule at cutting time. Mismatched pairs can't leave the cutting room.
- Leather GRN captures shade card + grain photo + lot number
- Cutting plan groups left+right of each pair onto the same lot
- If lot runs short mid-cutting, the system flags it instead of silently switching to next lot
- QC scanner at packing re-verifies the left+right lot match
- Mismatch routed to rework (re-cut left/right from new lot) before shipping
The claim is only as good as the BOM costing — and that's what the system fixes. Most exporters under-claim by 30% because their generic-ERP BOM is rough. We track every leather lot consumed by every shoe, which puts the actual cost into the claim.
- Per-pair leather consumption tracked at the actual lot rate, not standard cost
- Sole + accessories + packing materials all rolled into the per-pair BOM
- HSN-mapped RoDTEP rates applied (current rates for footwear HSN 6403/6404)
- Shipping bill + EGM + e-BRC reconciliation matches what was claimed against what shipped
- DGFT scheme licences (AA, EPCG) renewal calendar maintained
Yes — Chrome VI < 3 ppm certificates are tracked at the leather-lot level. Each export dispatch auto-attaches the right cert.
- Leather GRN includes Chrome VI test certificate upload (issued by NABL lab)
- System maintains per-lot validity (test certs typically 6 months valid)
- Pre-dispatch check: are all leather lots in this carton covered by valid Chrome VI certs?
- Auto-attach the cert PDF to the export documentation pack
- Same workflow for Azo dye testing, REACH compliance, TSCA
Yes — each channel has its own pricing, GST treatment, packaging spec, and document pack. The system keeps them separate without forcing you to maintain 4 ERPs.
- Brand-owned retail: own POS integration, full-MRP billing
- Dealer/distributor: discount slab + credit-period tracking
- Marketplace (Amazon / Flipkart / Myntra): SKU mapping + marketplace-fee deduction reconciled to settlement reports
- Export: separate currency, RoDTEP claim, shipping bill, e-BRC workflow
- Single inventory across all channels with channel-wise allocation
10–14 working days. Karigar onboarding is the variable — depends on whether they're comfortable scanning QR codes.
- Day 1–3: Master migration (designs, lasts, leathers, karigars, customers, BOM)
- Day 4–5: Size-curve template setup + first SKU matrix validation
- Day 6–7: Karigar onboarding — WhatsApp explainer + QR scanner training
- Day 8–10: User training (online OR on-site if Agra / Kanpur / Chennai)
- Day 11–12: First parallel order run validated
- Day 13–14: Cutover with reconciled ledgers
Both. The workflow shape — leather lot inventory, cutting / stitching / finishing, karigar outsourcing, export claims, BIS / Chrome VI — applies to leather goods identically. Size-curve is skipped for non-shoe items; SKU matrix becomes colour × size (S/M/L for jackets, single size for wallets).
Pricing starts at ₹1,700/month for the Starter plan, with a flat 20% discount when you pay annually.
- Starter — ₹1,700/month or ₹16,320/year: size-curve SKUs, basic karigar tracking, leather lot inventory, GST + EWB, BIS / MRP records
- Growth — ₹3,500/month or ₹33,600/year: + multi-GSTIN, RoDTEP + drawback claim engine, karigar quality scoring, multi-channel sales, priority support
- Enterprise — Custom quote: + multi-unit, dedicated manager, custom marketplace adapters (Amazon / Flipkart / Myntra), SLA-backed uptime
Marketplace settlement-reconciliation adapters and custom export-documentation packs (specific buyer formats) are quoted separately.
Yes — every plan includes ongoing support, free upgrades, and statutory advisory updates (GST + RoDTEP + BIS + DGFT notifications).
- All plans: Email + WhatsApp support, Mon–Sat 9 AM – 7 PM IST
- Growth: + Priority phone support, free quarterly upgrades, free Gujarat on-site, RoDTEP / BIS / DGFT change advisories
- Enterprise: + Dedicated implementation manager, SLA-backed uptime, on-site across India (Agra / Kanpur / Chennai / Delhi)
Glossary — terms used on this page
- Size Curve
- The distribution of sizes within an order — e.g. for sizes 4 to 10, a typical curve is 1:2:3:4:4:3:2:1 (proportionally fewer of the smallest and largest sizes). Critical for production planning and leather consumption.
- Last
- The wooden, plastic, or metal form around which a shoe is constructed. Each last code corresponds to a specific shape; same design across multiple lasts = different fits.
- Karigar
- Hindi/Urdu word for "craftsperson" — used in Indian footwear (and jewelry) to refer to cottage-unit operators that take outsourced legs of production. Most Indian footwear factories run karigar networks for upper-stitching and lasting.
- RoDTEP
- Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products — DGFT scheme that refunds embedded taxes to Indian exporters. Footwear rates typically 2.5-4% of FOB. Replaced MEIS in 2021.
- Chrome VI
- Hexavalent chromium — a carcinogenic byproduct of chrome tanning. EU REACH + US TSCA cap it at < 3 ppm in leather. Tested per IS 17075 / ISO 17075.
- Clicking
- The traditional name for the leather-cutting operation in footwear manufacturing. The cutter is called a "clicker." Auto cutting machines have largely replaced manual clickers in modern factories.
